father and son

"The Justice", this is a rare movie that I don't have a clear attitude to after watching it.

The main line of the story is also very simple. It is the story between a son of an awesome lawyer and a father who is respected by a local judge. Because the son has never been recognized and appreciated by his father, he is far away from home and has become famous. After many years, he suddenly received news from his family that his mother had passed away. Therefore, he returned to his hometown after a long absence to carry out a funeral for his mother, and then started a series of stories between father and son.

Robert Downey Jr. is a mess, not just because of his appearance, but because of his role in the film: impeccable logical thinking and expression, decisive personality. Robert Duvall's sword is young. However, do you always feel that something is wrong?

The relationship between father and son may be the most difficult onion to peel in the world. Even if it is peeled, it will only be wiped off by itself-because it is forbearance, it is thick.

Give four stars for praise, and leave the remaining one star for the unexplained family.

I love Downey, but the acting really isn't enough here. In addition, the director did not master the rhythm well, and the middle section was too long. The heroine has two very good lines.

The movie's mirroring and tone are warm, but the plot described is quite heavy. The pace of the movie for more than 2 hours is not slow at all. Little Robert Downey and Robert Duval play with each other is quite moving, different from the past warm family stories, a seemingly simple incident, after the layers are peeled off, it is so reluctant and sad. This is probably the least Tony Stark movie that Robert Downey has in the near future.

The Judge quotes

  • Judge Joseph Palmer: You gonna be ok at the funeral tomorrow? That camera makes an appearance, we both know where it's heading, right?

    Dale Palmer: Up my ass.

    Judge Joseph Palmer: Good man.
