it's not comedy

Who added comedy to the label? Never laughed from beginning to end.
The 6 stories are very exciting, and any one of them is a micro-movie that can win numerous awards, which can be used as a micro-film learning template. As for why they should be put together to form a feature film, firstly, the theme is the same - a savage story, reflecting the savage animal nature of human beings, and secondly, since there are so many good ideas, why not shoot them all to make a feature film.
Much like Jia Zhangke's "Apocalypse", whether it is a combination of multiple stories or themes, the difference is that one is realism, the other is romantic, one is a literary film, and the other is a commercial film. In other words, one is procrastination, and the other is concise and exciting, so I prefer "Wild Story".
Every story here is a model of micro-movie, with conflict, rhythm, and characters. It is extremely exciting and must be studied hard. Among them, the fourth and sixth stories are my favorite. The fourth is about a demolition engineer always being towed, and the reason is that the official did not draw a yellow line on the sidewalk. The engineer argued, but everyone, including his wife, had an obedient attitude of "society cannot be changed, and we can only obey the rules, even if the rules are unreasonable". One of the scenes is particularly realistic. The engineer went to the towing department to pick up the car and had to pay a fine. Because it was not his own fault, the engineer debated with the staff. Other car owners thought the engineer was too busy and said, "Hurry up, we have to pay if you don't pay, don't delay others." This kind of numb citizens can be found everywhere in China, which is shocking to see. Isn't there a lot of people like this on the Internet? If you question the government, you will say that it has used capitalist dollars to dig socialist corners. If you express your views, you will say that you are angry with the youth, but don’t pay attention to the reality in society. You can only sigh. In addition, the ending is idealized, the citizens support the engineer, and the wife returns, in short, it gives people a positive force. Maybe because of this, the audience can't think of it. The theme of this story points out that "a corrupt government will inevitably lead to violence", which is almost the theme of the entire film of "Destined".
The sixth story is a bit incomprehensible, but don't be crazy and romantic. The joyous three-minute wedding scene at the beginning struck me as lengthy at one point, but it was just the foreshadowing. Later, the bride in the wedding dress sensitively found that the husband and a colleague were very close to a beautiful woman at the table, and then confirmed the husband's cheating behavior. What made the wife even more angry was that the husband invited the woman and the colleague who knew about the incident to the wedding. Wife is a great insult. The wife collapsed instantly, left the scene and went to the rooftop of the building, wanting to commit suicide. Fortunately, a chef who was smoking on the rooftop dissuaded her. The wife who got rid of the suicidal idea went into a frantic revenge mode. She immediately had sex with the chef. After her husband came to the rooftop, she did not panic but told her fiercely that she would torture her husband for a lifetime until death separated the two (this line is wonderful), the husband Was horrified at the time. The crazy wife returned to the wedding scene, let the DJ play music, and reorganized the dance carnival. At this time, the wife's state can only be described as crazy. The husband's return to the scene was of no use. The wife pulled the woman who was having an affair with her husband and circled around until the woman fell to the glass curtain wall and her whole body was cut. The wedding was on hold, and it was time for the dullest person to see something was wrong. The husband told the mother what happened, and the mother found the wife and said that she was going to sue her. The mother and wife scuffled together and were separated by everyone. After the wife finished venting, she sat on the ground and cried. At this time, the rhythm slowed down, but the atmosphere became more tense, because all the guests and the audience did not know what was going to happen next, how it would end, and whether people would die. The husband who vomited again (it should be epilepsy) broke out at this time, in the same state as the previous wife - crazy, he picked up the knife to cut the cake, and everyone was surprised, but he cut a piece of cake and swallowed it. Then he walked up to his wife and extended his hand to her to invite to dance, and everyone was stunned. I have to say, the crazy husband is very attractive (like the sunset samurai who was possessed by Monkey King in Journey to the West). The wife returned to peace and tenderness, she hesitated, and accepted the invitation. Then the two danced enthusiastically under the stunned eyes of everyone, in the light and music, and then made love. I don't know what the theme of this story is, and I don't know what the psychological state of the two at the end is, the madness in human nature? Sadism? Love to the extreme, hate to the extreme, and then more violent, pure and extreme love? leave it alone, I just want to say that this story is very exciting, and people can't imagine what it will be like next, from the foreshadowing to the turning point to the climax and then to the more climax, like a wave that makes people emotional. Then the crazy absurd and unexpected ending. No one would have thought that two people who hurt each other to the extreme would dance and have sex in such a romantic love. This kind of love and killing each other made me feel relaxed and happy.
The first story was scary, literally a horror movie. An ordinary voyage, but unexpectedly all passengers are related to one person, another coincidence is that all passengers have injured this person. And this man is the captain. This idea is not particularly creative in horror novels, but it is very exciting as a micro-movie, and it is also the beginning of the atmosphere and style of this feature film, which is very attractive.
In the second story, a person came to a remote road hotel, and the girl waiter found out that the guest was her enemy, a loan shark who had forced her father to commit suicide. She wanted revenge, but didn't dare. But another chef in the restaurant, an aunt, fiercely told her to take revenge, put rat poison in the food, and the bad guys should be punished. The waitress didn't want to do it, but Mommy had poisoned the food. The waiter wanted to take back the food, but the customer stopped her viciously, and the customer thought her service attitude was bad. While the waiter hesitated, the guest's son came. In order not to hurt the innocent, she knocked over the food. Angry customer hits waitress. The aunt stabbed the guest with a knife. In fact, the waitress and the aunt can be seen as the process of the waitress's inner struggle. The kind villain said that it is wrong to use violence to control violence, and it is illegal, and the evil villain said that repaying grievances with virtue should repay virtue and seek revenge. In the end the kind villain prevailed (guest innocent son) and the waitress knocked over the food. However, the wickedness of the guest inspired the evil villain, and the aunt killed the guest.
The third story is the hot "Road Rage" issue some time ago, and the gap between the rich and the poor. A rich man driving an Audi is blocked by a poor man driving a broken car, the rich man overtakes the broken car and insults the poor man. However, the rich man's tire blew on a bridge, and the poor man drove up. The poor retaliated fiercely. To be honest, the revenge of the poor was a bit too much. It’s okay to scold a few words, but he smashed the Audi’s front windshield, and then squatted on the car to poop and pee (Audi owners were afraid of being hurt.) hiding in the car). In addition to the dramatic treatment of the movie (of course life is richer than the movie, this situation is also possible), it is not just road rage, it should be a kind of hatred for the rich, reflecting the class gap. The rich man was provoked, he drove the car with half tires and put the roof of the poor man into the river under the bridge, then loaded the tires and drove away. But the rich man felt that his revenge was incomplete and that the humiliation he had suffered in front of him was too great. As a result, there was a problem with the wrong tire, and he rushed into the river. The poor man ran down, and the two of them fought for their lives. The poor man won, he hung the rich man in the car and wanted to blow up the rich man, but the rich man hugged the poor man before he died, and the two perished together. The funny thing is, the poor man blew his lit sleeves hard before he died, because the sleeves were stretched into the fuel tank by himself, blowing one after another, very dramatic, and finally killed himself. The police came to the scene to look at the corpse of the two people hugging each other tightly, and said that it seemed like a sacrifice for love, which was really ironic. Although there is an intention to reflect the gap between the rich and the poor, there is no reason and depth just by showing that the poor hate the rich, so I think this story is mainly about telling an old Chinese saying "to endure the storm for a while and take a step back to open the sky." It's a modern fable after all.
The first three stories are all about violence and use violence to overcome violence. Dramatic, but a little less deep and social than the last three stories.
The fifth story is about social justice. The son of a wealthy businessman hit a pregnant woman while drunk driving. The wealthy businessman asked a lawyer to discuss countermeasures, and decided to give the gardener a sum of money to make the gardener take the blame for his son. This is very realistic, reminds me of "National Witness". As long as you have money, you can escape the punishment of the law and you don't have to pay the price for mistakes. And the story is told from the perspective of a wealthy businessman, which made me vaguely expect this transaction to be successful. This is also the deceptiveness of the story perspective. In the current society, this story does not have unexpected dramatic effects. Of course, it is dramatic, but it does not make people feel unexpected or amazed. Anyone can make up such a story. The director's innovation has two points. The first is to tell from the standpoint of a wealthy businessman. This is an experience that the audience has never had before, so they will feel curious. Because similar stories are mostly from the standpoint of victims or bystanders. And it is very realistic, unlike the "National Witness" that constructs a new dramatic conflict and leads to falsehood. But this is still a bland and unremarkable segment, and has no value as a micro-movie. So there's the second point, the highlight and climax of this episode, which is the conflict over money-sharing negotiations between businessmen, lawyers, police, and replacement gardeners. It was simply a wonderful business battle. The wealthy businessman was first fully passive and let others be slaughtered. Lawyers, policemen, and gardeners all opened their mouths to ask him for money. When he found out that the police didn't ask for $1 million and that the lawyer was cheating on him, his businessman's true colors were awakened, and he began to negotiate brilliantly. Using psychological tactics, he first told him not to do it, his son turned himself in, and everyone didn't have a cent. However, he left directly, went back to his room, played classical music, turned on the shower, put on a bathrobe and pretended to be taking a bath, waiting for the lawyer to negotiate with him. He then again denied the lawyer's offer (down from 2.5 million to 1.5 million), and the lawyer left in dismay. Then let his wife negotiate and negotiate a final price of $1 million. Other people's chips are the future of the rich businessman's children, and the rich businessman's chip is the price, and then bet to see who has the stronger psychological endurance. Obviously, the experienced rich businessman wins. The advancement, turning point, and details are all typical commercial film techniques, exciting and fascinating. However, such a wonderful ups and downs negotiation on the occasion of drunk driving, but suddenly there is an inappropriate sense of absurdity. To put it simply, it is a dislocation, a common technique used in comedies, where one scene is applied to another scene. In the case of movies, it's zooming in on points that shouldn't be zoomed in (dramatically). This sense of absurdity not only contracted the climax with the techniques of commercial films and unique attention points, but also formed an evocative irony.
In short, the savage stories are the savagery of people. It is meaningless to discuss too deep, because the film itself is not deep, and deep is not a film. In addition, it seems that there is no short film that can be transformed into a long film. It is time to think about the difference between a short film and a long film.

I saw the short comment that the last story was a wedding and went through the entire marriage process. It makes sense. Maybe the director shot from this angle. But what does the male protagonist's two fainting spells mean? Absurdity, or story-fixing means.
