Polar Express

In a world that only those who believe can reach, a little boy, who is hesitant about Santa Claus, boards a train to Santa's home in the polar region, and eventually becomes the first child to receive a gift from Santa.
At the beginning of the film is a golden ticket, with the word believe written on the ticket machine (people still like to use golden color to express cherished things), and then there is a high-speed train, and the feeling of speeding forward makes I am reminded of the title of 2046 (I really like Wong Kar-wai's movies, the beautiful and melancholy gray).
The scenes that left a deep impression on me were the castle of Santa Claus in the North Pole, many dwarfs in red shirts and red caps, a super-large Christmas tree, piles of gifts, and the scene of Santa Claus driving his sleigh and driving reindeer to the sky. The song that Billy and the little girl sang together with the child who got on the bus at the end was also very nice, and it felt warm in my heart, revealing a deep sense of belief.
It was directed by Robert Zemeckis, said to be a well-known tech nerd who had previously been a tripartite in animation [Disney, Pixar and DreamWorks (PDI)]. Now everyone realizes that nothing can be said without a compelling story ^^. So I am looking forward to the future movies~~~
Also, Polar Express is based on the adventure fairy tale of the same name by Chris Van Osberg, the author of Jumanji. .
The year goes by so fast, and it's Christmas again

The Polar Express quotes

  • [repeated line]

    The Boy: I believe.

  • Hobo: What exactly is... is your persuasion on the Big Man, since you brought him up?

The Boy: Well, I... I want to believe... but...

Hobo: But you don't want to be bamboozled. You don't want to be led down the primrose path! You don't want to be conned or duped. Have the wool pulled over your eyes. Hoodwinked! You don't want to be taken for a ride. Railroaded!

[Hobo puts out fire with the joe]

Hobo: Seeing is believing. Am I right?
