Film review: Ever since we were kids, we have heard stories from our family. Especially "Cinderella", "Snow White", "Sleeping Beauty" and other stories. Their final ending is that the prince and princess live happily together. However, have you ever thought about what if the prince and princess are no longer together? What if princes and princesses came to real life?
The beginning of the story As in all fairy tales, there is a beautiful girl who lives in the forest. She has a beautiful face, a beautiful voice and a kind heart. On this day, she was playing with her friends (little animals), thinking about a prince dancing with her, and singing. He was suddenly heard by the prince who was hunting in the forest. He heard the sound, the two fell in love at first sight, and immediately found a tacit understanding through the singing, and decided that the other party was half of what he was looking for, and agreed to see the queen tomorrow.
It seems that nothing has changed, everything is going according to the fairy tale.
On this day, the girl entered the palace to meet the prince, but before she could get in front of the prince, she was pushed into a deep black hole by the old lady who turned into the queen. When she climbed out, she left the fairy tale and came to the bustling and modern streets of Manhattan.
The real story begins here...
She dragged her heavy dress and came to this strange city. Almost everyone looked at her strangely. Everyone who met her didn't help her. She felt very sad and ran alone in the rain. When she saw an old man living on the street, she looked at him with begging eyes, hoping to get a little smile to soothe her lonely heart. But instead of smiling, the old man stole the crown from her head. She was sad - that's the reality. Far from the fairy tale world. Even the kind-looking old man was so hypocritical, robbing her of the only thing that seemed valuable.
Then she walked to another billboard and saw the familiar castle gate. She climbed up, hoping for help. Unfortunately, billboards are billboards after all, so how could anyone come out? Only a father and daughter passed by, saw her, and came to ask her what happened. Although this father Robert couldn't believe Gisele's experience, and even thought she was a lunatic, out of kindness, he still decided to take her in.
However, an incredible thing happened - he was woken up by the sound of human singing, and found that the house was clean again, but there were some more animals, such as cockroaches, mice and the like. Unfortunately, Gisele came out of the bathroom and was bumped into by her soon-to-be-married girlfriend. He takes her to the office where Gisele uses her understanding of love to stop a couple who are about to divorce. Robert thought she was feeling a little troublesome. I don't know if I really don't know, or I don't understand, in short everything is messed up. However, Giselle moved Robert with her simple kind heart and moving voice. Everything slowly began to change, they developed different feelings for each other, and the prince here jumped out of the black hole desperately in order to find his lover.
In the end, an apple from the queen makes Giselle pass out, and "True Love is Invincible". It was Robert, not the prince, who really kissed Giselle. They have to face this reality seriously. Giselle knew that "love needs to be based on constant understanding", she can no longer escape, they have to be honest with their hearts. She and the prince no longer had the tacit understanding of the first meeting. The person she really loves is the person in front of her who tells her what love is, not the prince.
At this point, the story is almost over. You may ask, what about the prince? You can rest assured, fairy tales are fairy tales after all, and it is what everyone wants to see if a lover gets married. The prince and Robert's girlfriend are together, and they are back in the fairy tale world to live their happy lives.
This is one of the movies I've watched recently that caught my eye. It gives me the feeling: both impact and charm. As "Austin News" commented on the film: "A romantic love story with many surprises, with a refreshing and straightforward atmosphere, a small satire of those classic fairy tales."
For many years, we have been trapped in the fairy tale kingdom of Green and Andersen, and reading this story today makes us think about it: Will the prince and princess still be together in real life?
