The heroine is alive and untied!

The heroine was not dead, TOM took the medicine to induce vomiting, and she was alive later, the principal and that person were talking about Maud, remember? TOM’s mother said she was dead. In the end, two children saw the heroine. If the child with the shoelace could see her because of loneliness, how could the child on the grass see her and say hello? So, the heroine is alive! She also said that she can’t see them (they refer to TOM and Maud, she no longer sees them when she wakes up), it’s not that she doesn’t remember, so it implies that the heroine has untied her happy knot and can be well. Those who are alive, the one you love will always live in your heart!

The shadow of childhood is indeed a lingering complex of Westerners. In order to achieve the core of this story, everything is just cosmetic, including the spooky driver uncle, the war hero, the childhood nanny, and the beautiful lady.

The Awakening quotes

  • Florence Cathcart: Without Science, people don't believe in nothing; they believe in anything.

  • Maud Hill: I never asked anything of the world, but it's a perfect hell on earth to give a woman children to love and to rob her of them.
