When we're not ready to grow up, we're stuffed into adult shells. Just like the three brothers in the movie, we too need to learn to face our own life and take responsibility for it one day. Maybe growing up is going through countless long journeys, meeting all kinds of people, and getting used to all kinds of joys and sorrows. You can't always have enough patience with life, and you're not a smart and calculating character, half-dreaming and half-awake, and savoring, some days. These times are like that golden afternoon in the movie, lightly and fiery, in the shape of sunlight.
I love going to the funeral of an Indian child. Cattle and sheep, crowds, rivers, grassy slopes, religion and family, belief and life, all are presented with the texture and composition of oil paintings. After watching Wes Anderson's films, life is always creamy.
