This summer, a lot of blockbuster movies were shown in rural cinemas. Big friends and children said they were good after watching it, and I fell asleep; My Life in Ruins, which was so funny, I couldn’t find the point of laughter; and Star Trek, And Angels & Demons, and X-Men Origins, and Night at the Museum.
But I didn't watch The Taking of Pelham 123.
It was the first time I experienced the Stockholm effect firsthand, the first time I felt that the kidnapper was such a heroic figure, and the first time I felt whether I could let him fly away. Mustache, sunglasses, handsome coat, he said, "I want Garber to answer the phone, or I will die as a hostage" so handsome, he said, "Mayor, if you plant a person to be a hostage, I will release all the other 17 Hostage" so righteous and awe-inspiring, he said "I'd rather die than go back to prison" so charming, he said "Garber, kill me, or I'll shoot you, I count 10 Numbers, 10, 9, 8, 7..." (⊙o⊙) Oh, Ryder, I love you!
How can there be such a handsome man in the world? And why does such a handsome man have to die? Why, can't he just grab it like Russell Crowe in 3:10 to Yuma, and show that murderous charming smile.
