I recently watched a few European movies. The unique cold tone of European movies, coupled with the tense plot, is very attractive. If Hollywood movies are like sandwiches and hamburgers, standardized, simple, and practical, European movies are like French Western food, each dish is meticulously polished and has a strong sense of ritual.

Watching a Norwegian movie for the first time. I didn't know anything about the plot before, nor did the actors and directors know anything about it, and this just made me, who didn't expect much, a surprise. "Headhunter" tells the story of a partner of a headhunting company who is only 1.68 meters tall. His true identity is an art thief. In the process of pirating the painting, he accidentally fell into a carefully arranged killing game. After a series of dangerous escapes, the actor, with the help of his lover, witty kills the opponent who has received professional military training, and puts life back on track. (The spoiler only introduces the general film narrative methods, in order to prevent the audience who have not watched the film lose their appetite, because if this kind of suspense film is introduced clearly, it will be boring to watch.)

Most of the scenes of the film are in There are very few scenes involving cities in dense forests or by lakes. Dense forests, cold lakes, and dense drizzle are more suitable for producing the unique cold style of European films. The actors performed very well. Especially the male protagonist, although the appearance is not outstanding, but the performance is very methodical. In order to perform, he did not hesitate to destroy his image, shaved his head, and jumped into the cesspool (it makes people want to vomit). Several sentimental dramas also convey the emotions in place. Especially when he knows that his wife betrayed him, facing his wife, the sadness and anger must be tolerated, and the emotions are very real. In order to avoid chasing and killing, I shaved my head while crying. The emotions are very complicated. In addition, the rhythm of the film is well controlled, and the tension is breathless, and in order to pave the way, he does not hesitate to express meticulously with a lot of pen and ink.

But if you treat this film as a classic, it's an exaggeration. I thought it would be better if at the end of the film, it was only confessed that the husband and wife were driving away in the car, with a long shot. In the long forest path, the car will be driven farther and farther out of the camera. There is no need to explain how the police gave up continuing the investigation, and how the hero and heroine started a new life, it will be even more meaningful. To paraphrase Douyou's phrase "the pattern is getting smaller."

I recommend everyone to come and have a look!

I always feel that there is something vaguely suspicious, but the person who can climb out of the shit must be the winner in life!

Jo Nesbø's Headhunters quotes

  • [Last lines]

Roger: My name is Roger Brown. I'm 5'6" tall, and you know what? That's more than enough.

  • [First lines]

Roger: Rule #1: Make sure you know everything about those you visit. 2: Never spend more than 10 minutes. Every extra minute increases the chance of someone returning home unexpectedly. 3: Do not leave DNA traces. 4: Don't waste time getting an expensive reproduction. Even a simple forgery will go unnoticed for weeks. 5: Sooner or later, one of two things will happen. You find a work of art so valuable that you never need to worry again, or... you'll get caught.
