I finally finished watching this movie while taking advantage of the Chinese New Year break. As long as you watch it carefully, you can basically understand it even if you haven't read the novel.
There is almost no extra content in 2 hours. If you wander a little, you may miss important details. This is probably why a movie that was recommended a long time ago has not been watched. It’s just that it’s not related to rot at all (Bill and Jim), and after knowing it, I suddenly understand the meaning behind many of the dialogues and plots in it:
Connie said the two were inseparable; Bill went to Jim's house to clean up the traces, but secretly hid a photo of the two of them; why I heard that Jim was shot and angry; why did he save Jim when Smiley showed that Karla would let him go Surprised I am also amazed inside; why Jim told the little boy that the Bill he met was very good and joked about whether he called him Unpaid Bill; why Bill asked Smiley to settle down with both girls and boys...
Still don't understand why Jim kills Bill in the end.
As a spy, words must be lost. Karla caught Ann's weakness because Smiley wanted to use his wife to turn against him in front of him, and he even gave him a lighter that his wife gave him.
The lineup of male stars in the film is also exceptionally strong, all with familiar faces
I have been planted with Le Carré's novel, and I hope I have enough leisure time to read it again this year. I was also fanned by Gary Oldman. It was really a show of disgrace, and I couldn't tell it was Sirius and Churchill at all.
