Anthony Minghella is a heartless goddamn genius

After thinking about it, I still give it five stars

After all, this movie is too sloppy

It can actually bring me back to reality from the levitating dream that I have been in after watching Morris.

It also made me strong and really worried, and the edge was also refreshing.

I haven't read the original book, so I don't know the background and behind-the-scenes story

Just talking about the story told in this movie

In my opinion, there are two obvious bugs in the plot.

The first is the cause of all this misfortune

Obviously Dickie's father is so rich, and there are so many alumni of Princeton University and Dickie's same level

He could have used his power and frozen dickie's account or something or found a friend who knew dickie and brought him back

He didn't even know Ripley at all, how could he leave this to him so casually?

$1,000 in the 1950s wasn't a small amount. No matter how rich he was, he wouldn't have just come from nothing.

He is not afraid of being deceived

What's more, even if he's really rich

After all, his son dickie has a criminal record

There may also be a risk of being blackmailed

How on earth did the IQ of believing strangers become a shipbuilding tycoon? ? ?

Of course, if it's just a mere exaggeration to satirize the well-dressed upper-class bourgeoisie who are chasing the American dream in their lavish lives

Then pretend I didn't say anything

Another one I really can't stand

It's the end of the whole story

Peter's death

Tom Ripley is a criminal genius in my opinion

He's a very sane man

In this situation at the end, the situation is not urgent enough to kill Peter, right?

Peter has been so tolerant of him that he doesn't even blame him for kissing someone else

Isn't that enough to explain his usual gentle personality and the fact that he loves him?

Besides, he already got the key.

Of course, it takes a lot of time and patience to open the basement in Tom's heart.

But I have no doubt that Peter can afford to wait.

Tom is selfish after all

There's no way he didn't want to take full possession of Peter

Although he is afraid to expose his dark heart in front of his lover

That's why Peter was killed

But can't you wait any longer?

You don't have to show your heart directly to Peter

Make up any lies and keep Peter in the cabin to survive or just knock him out and run away

(Wait until Peter opens that door and kills him when he can't accept it ((I believe Peter wouldn't choose to call the police even if he knew the truth)

And if the director's intention is really just to give people a blow at the end and make people unforgettable

Really congratulations too

very successful

Manufacturing reverse sublimation theme

It's a perfect interpretation of the hopeless and bottomless character of Tom Ripley.

I went from puzzled to stunned to puzzled to headache

Feelings have nowhere to break through the separation of sound and picture

In the end, I could only stare at the announcement and sat there, I couldn't remember what the ending song was, and cried for 20 minutes
