Misery--Is It A Blessing Or A Curse? It's All Doomed

I thought it was an angel, but I didn't expect it to be a devil. This is really a wonderful movie. There are less than 10 main characters in it (the last passerby doesn't count, wow), writers, fans, sheriff, sheriff's wife and assistant, hotel owner, all very interesting. From the very beginning, the writer's bag was attractive, full of traces of time, and the khaki leather must have been very good to the touch. I wonder if the material of this bag is described in detail in the novel. Although there are many shots of the bag in the movie, I guess it is because the novel in it is a fuse. But the bag is really nice--

The fashion sheriff's outfit is very good, careful and not frizzy. I don't know if he was a young man full of enthusiasm when he was young. The police station in this small town consists of the sheriff and his wife. When her wife touched him in the car, I thought she had cheated on him—only later did I find out that it was a real lady. Small towns always look beautiful, peaceful and lifeless. The owner of the inn is an old man, the sheriff is an old man, and the owner of the grocery store is an old man again. This female fan seems to be almost middle-aged or older. How to deal with the problem of aging, which seems to have been present since I was born.

The police wife is even more interesting--she is cynical about her husband, but it doesn't taste like a cold flirt when you taste it carefully. It is also very good to have a company in a small village if you want to grow old. As a businessman, you need to be friendly wherever you go, so the innkeeper likes the writer's attitude of not making trouble and not causing trouble. It seems to be a peaceful scene.

Then, the hidden darkness came out. I prefer to be called the devil. Her aura is simply too powerful! Although I knew from the very beginning that she was not a good person, her acting is so capricious and doesn't seem to be too popular, which shows that this role is really very suitable for her. From her smiling expression to the writer, and then to a sudden nervous growl, it was really startling. And you really think she's terrifying? It reminds me of the look of the old woman pretending to be a little girl in another horror movie, "The Orphan," which is also super scary.

However, I want to say that the role of the writer is also well played. When I watched the film, I felt that his lips were so soft.... He licked his lips many times. I thought he was trying to seduce female fans—the little Jiujiu in my heart, he played very well. And the last one is really cool. What's the point of the writer's female fans? This ends. I'm done. I won't show it to you.

Misery quotes

  • Paul Sheldon: [holding a rolled-up page of his manuscript] Remember how for all those years, nobody knew who Misery's real father was, or if they'd ever be reunited? It's all right here. Does she finally marry Ian, or will it be Winthorne? It's all right here.

[lights a match and with it, lights the page]

    Annie Wilkes: Paul you can't!

    [drops her glass]

Paul Sheldon: [Still holding the burning page] Why not? I learned it from you.

[Puts the burning page down onto his manuscript, already on the floor, burning it]

  • Virginia McCain: We got a phone call? Busy morning.

Sheriff John T. 'Buster' McCain: Yeah. Work, work, work.
