The theme of the film is "fear", which has nothing to do with science fiction and the times. The core idea is the paragraph (roughly) that the father shared his fear with his son: fear is not real, it is our own imagination of the unknown. Danger is real, and fear is optional. When we focus fully on the good things in the present moment, the fear disappears. Where there is love, there is no fear.
In modern life, we often harbor all kinds of fears and fears. Because of our fears, we often say what we don’t want to say in our hearts, do things we don’t want to do in our hearts, and lose our true happiness. And often these fears and fears are imagined by oneself, and the reality does not exist. We can make choices at any time.
In the film, the writers and directors use monsters to describe our imagined fears. Because fear is that reality does not exist, monsters cannot see without eyes. Only when there is fear in your heart can the monster sense it and attack you.
All kinds of people and things in real life challenge, if we choose to fear, we can easily be defeated by the fear monster we imagined. If we choose to focus on the present, on the good, we can gain more.
Fear is optional! Inner strength, awareness, choice, requires constant training.
