Family interaction between father and son who have not yet met, and more

It has the usual characteristics of Jennifer Anniston's excellent light comedy: smooth plot, easy and humorous, attention to detail. But what moved me in particular was the interaction between the male protagonist and the little boy.

The mother never mentioned anything about his father to the little boy, and the little boy never seemed to ask.

One day the male protagonist coaxed the little boy to sleep and saw that the boy’s bed was covered with different forms of picture frames. The picture frames still kept the pictures of the characters that came with it, and there were no photos. The hero accidentally asked the little boy, why are these picture frames empty? The little boy said that they are not empty. You see, this is a photo of my dad who just graduated from college. That's my uncle, dad's younger brother, who is fishing in the lake.

Those portraits of purely commercial smiles that do not seem to trigger any emotions in adults, the little boy created a world with the image of a father completely through imagination, and believes in its existence. This kind of strong contrast made it impossible for the male protagonist and me, the person watching in front of the screen, to restrain the tears in our eyes.

It's okay, but it always feels like it's not in place

The story has an unrealistic beginning, so no matter how hard you try to make the story come to life, you still can't get closer to the audience. Those clever jokes are far worse than similar movies, not to mention Juno and Little Sunshine, who were used in the promotion period. But there are still some moving moments that are good. Jason and the little boy are very chemically reactive, and the latter is even more adorable. Aniston is actually much better than expected.

Wally Mars: Look at us. Running around, always rushed, always late. I guess that's why they call it the human race. What we crave most in this world is connection. For some people it happens at first site. It's when you know, you know. It's fate working its magic. And that's great for them. They get to live in a pop song; ride the express train. But that's not the way it really works. For the rest of us it's a bit less romantic. It's complicated and it's messy. It's about horrible timing and fumbled opportunities. And not being able to say what you need to say when you need to say it. At least, that's the way it was for me.
