American dream, just a dream

I had heard about Tonya and Nancy early on, and without knowing any background, I was also blindly guessing, thinking that Tonya was hurting others in order to win. But the film truly transformed Tonya from a controversial topic of the last century into a living character. Figure skating is the most difficult sport to achieve a real class leap. The literacy, form, and even skills of these figure skaters are piled up with a lot of money, and the judges of the ice association are like Oscar judges. Old-fashioned, it's no wonder they don't like Tonya. Her family of origin and the husband she met later made me think she was just a little girl who longed to be loved, and all her stubbornness and pride were just her protective mechanism. I'd like to give her a hug if I can, because she deserves to be loved well. I also hope that all figure skating girls can smile confidently on the ice, because figure skating, literally speaking, is really our life. In the end, although Sai Tiantian plays a scumbag again, he still can't cover his charming breath. The 90s bag is really beautiful? (But domestic violence is really unbearable, please meet such a boy Clear your head and leave him immediately, no matter how charming he is!)

I, Tonya quotes

  • Tonya Harding: [to camera, immediately after firing a gun at Jeff] This is bullshit. I never did this!

  • LaVona Golden: I made you a champion, knowing you'd hate me for it. That's the sacrifice a mother makes! I wish I'd had a mother like me instead of nice. Nice gets you shit! I didn't like my mother either, so what? I fucking gave you a gift!

    Tonya Harding: You cursed me.
