should be a unique number. In many cultures, seven is a lucky number. Even in religion, 7 is often mentioned, and the seven here is originally derived from Kurosawa's "Seven Samurai".
Since "Seven Samurai" came out, Hollywood filmed "The Seven Dragons of Brave and Brave" in 1960. It seems that it was not enough, and it was shot again this year. Both Hollywood films are set in the same western setting. A village employs seven samurai warriors to protect the villagers from robbers, and the villainous villain in this film is the local powerful local tyrant.
When the husband of Emma Cullen (Haley Bennett) of Stony Brook was killed for resisting the bullying of the local tyrants, in order to protect the land from being occupied by the local tyrants, she spent a lot of money to hire the bounty hunter Qi Sumu (Haley Bennett). Denzel Washington (played by Denzel Washington) helps, Chisum first hooks up with Josh Faraday (Chris Pratt), a gambler he met at the bar, and then his old friend Gu. Tenet Robbie (Ethan Hawke) and his partner Billy Roxy (Lee Byung-hun) and seven other outlaws.
(spoiler)
Chisum decided to fight a people's war. They laid a lot of mines in front of the formation, trained the residents of the town and nearby miners, and set up several lines of defense to select the terrain and lure the enemy into it. In the end, he wiped out the enemy and killed the local tyrants to avenge the dead villagers.
This is a Western, and one of the hallmarks of Westerns is rough exteriors. Seven people ride on horses and gallop in the broad prairie, with the steep mountains behind them as a foil, which is refreshing and beautiful. I just hope that I have the opportunity to go there for a walk that day.
This is also a martial arts movie. So in the end it's a matchup between the offense and the defense. One side relied on a large number of people and powerful weapons, and the other side relied on waiting for work and being familiar with the terrain. This is a mortal duel, and it is also the struggle of the little people to protect their own interests. It's actually a simple story, but it's worth watching these knights roll off their horses in all sorts of beautiful poses.
Another popular western was released not long ago, and that is the famous Tarantino's "The Hateful Eight" (see my blog post "The Bloody Hateful Eight"). It's just that The Hateful Eight is full of intrigue and here it's a bloodbath. The same is that they are all dirty and oily men.
Akira Kurosawa is a master of the film industry, and "Seven Samurai" is a masterpiece of the master's classic film, only two later "The Brave Seven Dragons".
Although director Antoine Fuqua did not win an award, he still made many wonderful films such as "Left Hook" Southpaw (2015)", "The Equalizer" "The Equalizer (2014)", "Training Day" "Training Day (2001)" and "The Replacement Killers" starring Chow Yun-fat "The Replacement Killers (1998)" (see my blog post "The Rebirth of the Left Hook").
Denzel Washington is arguably the first brand of black movie star. A total of six Oscar nominations. One of them was "Glory (1989)", which won the Best Supporting Actor Award, and "Training Day", which won the Oscar for Best Actor. Playing in a high profile here, the aura is still very strong. However, in a movie with many famous characters, it is difficult to monopolize the leader.
Chris Pratt became famous with "Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)" and later starred in Hollywood blockbusters "Jurassic World" and "Jurassic World" (see my blog post "Guardians of the Galaxy" "Team" and "Dinosaur Movie "Jurassic Age"). Still follow his old comedian tradition, good at talking and laughing, but the heroic character is still the same, so he has always been a likable master.
Ethan Hawke mainly acts in literary films (see my blog post "McGee's Plan"), and of course also starred in police and gangster films. Has been nominated for four Oscars. One of them was "Training Day" with Denzel Washington. Probably to break his literary middle-aged impression. The face is full of beards, and a cigarette tooth shows up here with a weather-beaten face. .
Lee Byung-hun is known as "the first male star" in South Korea. In 2016, he won the Best Actor at the 10th Asian Film Awards with "The Insider". Seeing that he is not losing to everyone around him with his shirtless throwing a flying knife, he is also a man.
Hailey Bennett is a high-profile beauty mixed in a group of fierce men, but she is also a main character in the whole story. Her clothes are a bit out of date. However, compared with the stars walking the red carpet today, it is still conservative.
