Recently, I happened to watch two movies about heroism, one is Disney's "Lightning Dog", and the other is "Creed" directed by Nolan.
The plot of the former is mainly about a dog who grew up in Hollywood and believes that he is a superhero, accidentally leaves the set, and encounters a cat (representing the realism of social beating) and a hamster (representing the idealism of chicken soup for the soul) on his return trip. With the help of ), experience the life of an ordinary dog, while not forgetting the story of the hero's original intention and finally saving the owner and harvesting a happy life.
The plot of "Creed" is probably that people in the future society are facing doomsday due to natural disasters, and they create a time machine that can travel between the past and the future. They attempt to carry out a time weapon massacre on modern people through the villain. The protagonist comes forward, After traveling through the past and the future and experiencing many obstacles to save mankind, he found that the person who made the plan is the future self, and the executor of this plan will be trapped in a closed loop of time for the rest of his life.
When I watched "Creed", what I thought in my heart was that although I knew that the protagonist saved a huge crisis of human extinction with great self-sacrifice without ordinary people noticing it, and even lost many people's lives because of it, I still have no idea. But it seems difficult to empathize with the protagonist group. Tired of involution, gender inequality, and class solidification, contemporary social animals pray in their hearts at least three times a day for the asteroid that hit the earth to arrive as soon as possible. However, perhaps, it is in the corners that are difficult for ordinary people to reach, there are also nameless people The hero is preventing these crises. At this time, he really wants to shout out the line he thinks is cool to the protagonist: "No one can make a choice for us!" Let it be, no need, this world is not worth it, bro .
However, when I watched "Lightning Dog", all I thought was, "Oh! Doggo~"
It is also a movie with the theme of heroism, why is my movie-watching mood so different? Probably because the tone of "Lightning Dog" is the innocence and fearlessness of childhood, while the tone of "Creed" is the loneliness and heaviness of the adult world. The heroism in fairy tales is the road to a happy life, but the heroism in the adult world is a chain of dangers, an irresistible fate of sacrificing the ego to fulfill the great ego.
Life is already hard, and cartoons have become a way for adults to escape life. I will always miss my childhood and my fading heroism.
