innocent boy, ridiculous story

There is no cruel scene in the whole film, but it is full of warmth from beginning to end, but under this strong family warmth, there is a deep suffering of the Jews.
The boy's father was a Nazi concentration camp officer with Jewish blood on his hands. It is also the cycle of the world. In the end, his favorite son also died in the concentration camp he built with his own hands. Along with the black smoke, he disappeared into the world.
The Jewish community is just like this boy, innocent victims, the ignorance and ridiculousness of anti-Semitism, just as absurd as this story.

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas quotes

  • Herr Liszt: Yes Bruno?

Bruno: I don't understand, the Jew is down to this one man?

Herr Liszt: The Jew here means the entire Jewish race. If it was just this one man I'm sure something would be done about him.

Bruno: There is such thing as a nice Jew isn't there?

Herr Liszt: [Sarcastically] I think Bruno if you ever find a nice Jew, you'd be the best explorer in the world.

  • Father: My work is very important to our country and to you. We're working very hard to make the world better for you.
