Behind the first-level fear is a cascade of fears

The foreshadowing reversal setting is very classic, but I feel wonderful after watching it several times. Watching this movie for the first time is best to avoid spoilers, so please be aware that the following comments contain spoilers.

The plot of the movie is well-paced. The biggest debate in the show is whether Aaron's actions are acting or split personality. Personally, I still think "Aaron"'s honest personality didn't exist in the first place. The so-called murderer left-handed is obviously contradictory in several special scenes where the brutal "Roy" contacts with lawyer Martin. In terms of personality transformation, it is obviously because of his acting skills. Moreover, the so-called psychiatrist's testimony was refuted by the judge and the prosecution as the plot progressed: without further certification from a professional psychiatrist, it is not impossible to cheat.

Two of my favorite clips, one is the female lawyer pointing out the testimony in "The Scarlet Letter" that depicts a double-faced person. Who is the double-faced person pointing to? On the bright side is the bishop, and on the dark side there is Aaron; on the other side, Aaron murmurs that the bishop is like his father, and what kind of person is his father? Did the bishop, like the father, appreciate it, or did it mean something else? I really like these two hints.

In addition, there is a reversal of the role situation, which I would like to call a must. The ending, like the beginning, seems to be a thrilling victory and a double harvest of love, fame and fortune, but it is actually the failure of an idealist as a former prosecutor and the escape of a desperate anti-social demon. This is only on the surface of the character. If you count the uncertain future of the civilian believers who lost the bishop's protection in the background of the story, and the temporary failure of capital developers to seize land, they can still make a comeback. At the end of the story, everything is The inversion of the ring.

The wonderful performance of the actors and the ingenuity of the plot structure are really amazing.

Simple stories, complex emotions. The so-called suspense is not amazing enough, and the ending can be guessed by people, but the shooting technique is very good, which makes people have complex emotions and a heavy feeling in their hearts. What exactly is justice? The so-called authoritative and intelligent people are being played and applauded by the seemingly innocent teenagers, and all this is neither wrong nor right. Let anyone comment, the many social problems reflected in it are the original intention to be expressed.

Primal Fear quotes

  • [Marty is trying to woo Janet again, kissing the back of her neck and humming as she smokes a cigarette at the bar in the party for the Archbishop]

Martin Vail: Come on... all you have to do is turn around.

Janet Venable: I thought you liked it better like this. That way you don't have to look at the person.

    Martin Vail: You're mean.

    [ingratiatingly]

    Martin Vail: Look at me.

[She turns to face him. He is grinning seductively]

Martin Vail: Come on. Let's go find a bar you can still smoke in.

Janet Venable: Thanks for the invite, but I don't like one-night stands all that much.

Martin Vail: We saw each other for months.

Janet Venable: It was a one-night stand, Marty. It just lasted six months.

  • Martin Vail: [in a private room inside the district attorney's office] Mr. Pinero has never been convicted of anything. Cops jumped him, he was left bleeding in the snow. It's a miracle he survived. Having said that, I am not opposed to a settlement.

John Shaughnessy: A million-five and Pinero leaves the state.

Martin Vail: You can't limit a citizen's right to live wherever he wants to. Legally, that's unenforceable.

John Shaughnessy: Whether or not it's enforceable or just a gentleman's agreement, Mr. Pinero will know what we want.
