I found a lot of people talking about feminism. Of course the story is about women being oppressed, but in fact the story also hints at other non-female victims like enlightened priests, gay men, etc.
What this story tells us is that freedom doesn't come easily and that someone needs to defend him. There's a scene in the show where protesters are being repressed.
It's worth noting that in today's time of a pandemic, will anyone continue to slowly and legally take away some liberties in the name of pandemic control?
