Surf's Up

This is another glorious and dreamy film, "Surfing Penguins". In fact, surfing is relatively unfamiliar to Chinese people. Most of us have seen it in foreign film and television works or scenic travel films. The bright sunshine, the white sand, the coconut trees swaying in the sea breeze, and the waves rushing in, all these seem to be very far away from us, and this film brought the audience a breeze of coolness in the hot summer. (It's been cold these days, but the film premiered in June)

The lens of the whole film is very good, giving people a novel and interesting feeling. The simulation of shooting methods such as documentaries and sports broadcasts are very realistic.

The CG effect is very good, the ocean, the waves, the fragments of the spray, the light reflected by the sun on the sea, the shining light spots, the delicate beach, and the bright colors are very attractive.

The character modeling is much stronger than "Happy Feet". The penguins in "Happy Feet" are made too much like a penguin, without the shadow of a cartoon image at all. Everyone is watching cartoons. If you want to see real penguins, then go to "Emperor Penguin Diary". The characters portrayed are very individual and distinct.

I want to admire Sony here, and dare to touch the subject of penguin. It is so good and worthy of admiration. After watching the movie, I couldn't help but feel like I was eager to try a surf. Finally, let’s end with a sentence from Big Z: "Never give up, to find a way."

Except for the good music, it's utterly lackluster, wasting an Oscar nomination

The shooting method is innovative. Shia Labourf's voice acting is also good
