With a score of 71, both the story and the heroine let me down.
This film is based on the latest game, a prequel to Lara. It tells the story of a young Lara looking for her father to start an adventure, but I was disappointed.
1. First of all, the heroine cannot be compared with the previous work.
With Angelina Jolie in front, the heroine of Tomb Raider must be sexy (big breasts) and have the desire to be watched. The heroine Emilia Vikander (boyfriend is "French Shark") is too average in figure, not sexy enough in temperament, and has a boy-like personality, lacking softness and sexiness.
Although it is the previous work, you cannot lack the basic elements.
2. Laura's fights should be aesthetically pleasing.
In the previous work, Laura's figure sexy completed various tasks, and she would also be beaten, but her posture should be elegant. In this film, the heroine was beaten in various ways, the scene was very frustrating, the martial arts were not high, and the beating was disgraced and lacking in beauty.
Example: This kind of feeling is like Yang Guo played by Ren Xianqi back then. Seriousness is seriousness, but the soil is unbelievable.
3. There are too many boring sections in this film, and the real tomb exploration only takes less than 40 minutes.
Highlights: 40-minute tomb exploration scene (the style of tomb exploration is similar to ghosts blowing lanterns, of course, the plot is much simpler than ghosts blowing lanterns), and there is another part of drifting that is more exciting
The episodes other than these two are pretty boring and lengthy (bike chase, introduction to background and missing father, going to Hong Kong to find a boat, getting caught and drifting on the island, miraculously finding father).
4. I fell asleep three times in the first half.
Bottom line: This film doesn't live up to the gilded and sexy image of Tomb Raider.
In the spring of 2018, I have been disappointed by three consecutive Hollywood blockbusters (Star Wars 8, Black Panther, New Tomb Raider).
