It's not so much a downright comedy, it's a moving light comedy.
I didn't have high expectations before watching it. I just thought it was time to watch a movie, so I watched it with the mentality of completing this task.
Unexpectedly, the plot of the film is very brilliant. To be precise, it should be Ned's personality that can infect me.
Ned is a stupid big brother, he has three younger sisters, and a kind and kind mother. But the three younger sisters all think that their brother is an idot, destroying their good life, work, marriage, and romance. They blame Ned for all their faults. In fact, Ned’s day is really what people lack now. He knows right and wrong. Even if he goes to jail (he took out marijuana for believing in a cunning policeman), he still looks at everything around him purely.
He knows the importance of telling the truth. He doesn't "dare" what to do, but because he "feels" it should be. This is all out of his consciousness.
He didn't want to ruin anyone's life, and he also felt that he was a troublesome guy, so he didn't accept bail from his family. Fortunately, his sisters realized their mistakes afterwards. They felt that Ned's solution to the problem was actually the right one. So they wanted to make amends. In order to persuade Ned to agree to bail, they snatched his beloved dog from his ex-girlfriend. Since then, Ned has been released and started a new life. And I met my favorite lady by chance, and the film also ended with this scene.
There are several parts in the film that touched me a lot.
One is that Ned refused to sign the bail documents. He feels that going out is also causing trouble to his family. He doesn't want to ruin everyone's life because of his freedom. He wants to live quietly by himself, and also hopes that his family can live happily. He felt that he had made a mistake. Since the days of the trial release, a lot of trouble has happened because of him, and he is very guilty. The refusal to sign is because of his relief.
The other is the excitement and emotion in his heart when his sisters brought his beloved dog to him. He loves his dog, and no one loves her more than him. Just as Net (one of his younger sisters) said when he questioned his ex-girlfriend, no one can surpass Ned’s love, no matter what, to whom, He always helps others with enthusiasm and shares with others with a sincere heart. So in regular conversations with the bail officer, he was pressured to tell the bail officer the fact that he was smoking marijuana again, which led to his return to prison. Because he is not wary, he just wants to express what he wants to express. That's it. This is also the courage that many people lack now. We often have a lot of worries, which makes us more and more depressed. That kind of life is very distorted.
The comedy component of the film did not give me much response, but the meaning of the film really moved me.
A man-child person, a kind and pure heart.

Miranda: I'll insult you right here.

Janet: OK, I'm a pacifist. I don't play that way.

Miranda: I'm gonna peace you in the side of the fuckin' head you don't give us the dog.

Janet: I'm not going to receive that with anything but love.

  • Natalie: [On the phone, to Cindy's voicemail] I know you're not gonna call me back but... Hum, one more thing, remember that time I missed your awards dinner? Well, hum, I wasn't really working. I was at home watching Kourtney and Kim Take New York... I'm sorry, hum... What else?
