In 1980, the Turkish military launched a coup, ousted the government and dissolved the parliament. A film about grassroots people being involved in a coup and affecting their lives in such a large social background was released in 2005 by the Cagan Irmak screenwriter and director. This is "Babam Ve Oglum" ("My Father, My Father"). son").
After watching this movie for a few days, I was still addicted to the wonderful music played by Western symphony and Turkish instruments, and I was looking for more Turkish music to appreciate. Of course, the original soundtrack of this movie is incomparable. You don’t need to find the reason, just close your eyes and savor the exotic sounds.
Many times, when we watch movies, we ignore the atmosphere of background music and the delicate emotion conveyed by the development of the plot because of the fascinating plot and the excellent performance of the actors. At the same time, this kind of music is also the most successful. "My Father and My Son" is undoubtedly a very excellent work. It is difficult to find such a work that can depict the feelings between people in such a delicate way in the European and American film industry market. Great domestic filmmakers It makes me afraid to compliment me! The music in this movie is more like a powerful tear gas, which explodes in my heart one by one, the low cello is lined with the melodious violin, and the piano sweeps the piano to sublimate the emotion to another level. The solo after mixing Like a woman's whispering, the music swelled on the wall of my heart like this, touching our pain.
In the screenplay of the storyline, director Cagan Irmak focused on the vicissitudes of ordinary Turkish families, grasping the main line of separation between grandparents and grandchildren from estrangement to resolution to deep love, telling the protagonist's family, friendship and love. Sadik is a rebellious youth who became a left-wing journalist under the influence of political activists when he was in college. On September 12, 1980, a military coup attacked the country. His wife died after giving birth to Deniz. He also experienced long-term detention and violent interrogation. When he was desperate, he brought his 8-year-old son Deniz back to his hometown in the country. His father still failed to forgive Sadik because he had expected him to become an agricultural engineer to take over the family's farm. The days in the hometown are indeed leisurely and easy, but Sadik was left with terminal illness while living in prison, and at the same time the ice between the protagonist and his father began to melt... The whole movie does not see any contrived bizarre plot. , All doubts have corresponding explanations, because life has infinite treasures, as long as you can carefully feel and understand the meaning of life, you can dig out real gold. And this is often what those false producers, those who hunt for thrilling and bizarre stories in a subjective frame, cannot feel.
In the story, at the most sad moments, there are often ridiculous scenes in exchange for being immersed in a sad atmosphere. People smile faintly. This kind of laughter is sad and mixed with happiness. Isn't life so happy, there are still happy things to accompany us when we are most painful, so that our suffering can be reduced without superimposition and loss. It’s no surprise that some internet sites classify the movie as a comedy.
The director added a lot of young Deniz's imagined fairy tale world to the movie. This arrangement seems to be a bit redundant or even messy in the entire narrative line, but it enriches the film's interesting content very much.
Sadik accompanies his elder brother and meets with his former friends. The film completes the interpretation of friendship on this dining table. Friendship always lasts forever, but love involves many sacrifices and regrets. Birgul knows that Sadik is back, his expression reveals the joy that cannot be concealed in his heart, dressing up and seeing Sadik, but slams the door, and his eyes hide many years of bitterness. Bitter. On the hospital bench, the two reminisce about the past and cherish the last short good time.
Sadik died. On the way home, his father opened his arms and regretted that he hadn't stopped his son. The cry of life and the cry of life pierced our hard appearance to the weakest heart. What a pain!

Deniz didn't want to go to school, and then the secret of the secret room was opened. It turns out that grandpa kept the video of his son carefully, and didn't let others know it because of his face. In fact, he had unspeakable pain in his heart. In the hospital, he said his last inner words to Sadik: "You are my son. ,you are my Everything". Looking at the image of his father's childhood, Deniz smiled knowingly and said "Dad", but his grandparents cried. At the end, when Deniz took the video recorder given by his grandfather, Sadik appeared. The conversation between the father and son sitting on the straw was profound. The father was pleased that the child had a stable home. There was no self-blame and no regrets, and he educates the children. Must grow up. The film ends under a rainy roof, with a plain yet moving aftertaste.

"Babam Ve Oglum" is not a big production, but it is full of the essence of life. It has precise performances by actors, wonderful story line arrangement, exquisite photography skills and lens switching, mature film language dialogue, and film volume. Tailor-made background music, all of which make it a great product that everyone appreciates.
From a movie, you can recognize a country, or the life of a country’s people, even if we have not been to places, we will feel very familiar.
