ten years

When I watched this movie, it was 1999 when e-mail was just beginning to become popular. Because of work, receiving emails is something I do every day.

At that time, many people started to apply for their first free mailbox. 10 years have passed in a blink of an eye, and the Internet has completely changed each of our lives.

For me, that year also has many unforgettable memories.

One of the compliments I heard recently was someone saying, I'm a bit like Meg Ryan. Hehe, the golden boy and girl in those days are old now.

The first love fairy tale in the Internet age is also the last one in Meg Ryan & Tom Hanks' "Three Generations of Love". Although the performance is mediocre, it makes people want to look back at "The Corner Shop". The last sentence is: Bye, American sweetheart, your gender is unequal in the world, your youth is short, and it cannot stop the scandal.

Old-school American movies, happy friends, happy endings. In particular, I watched this film on a small 20-inch TV with the landlady. It was dubbed in French and had no subtitles. It felt amazing. The landlady pointed to Channel 21's program catalog and said, "Let's show you a movie I liked when I was young! I was a little girl last time I watched it. Ah... Young love... It's very sweet!"

    Kathleen Kelly: That was different.

Kathleen Kelly: No, don't say that. Really. We don't know that for sure.

Frank Navasky: Well, who else could it have been? It was probably around 1960.

Kathleen Kelly: Do you want some popcorn?

Frank Navasky: I can't believe this! I mean, it's not like he was something normal, like a socialist or an anarchist or something.

Kathleen Kelly: It happened in Spain. People do really stupid things in foreign countries.

Frank Navasky: Absolutely. They buy leather jackets for much more than they're worth. But they don't fall in love with fascist dictators!
