Rosemary's environment is reminiscent of Polanski's predicament in "The Tenant." Come to a new place, a new environment, and weird new faces. The gloomy building in "The Strange Tenant", the serious and indifferent neighbors, the anxiety of identity and integration into the group made him finally have the delusion that everyone will put themselves to death and let himself commit suicide by jumping off the building like Simon. In this film, Rosemary is facing an overly enthusiastic old couple who come to chat and give gifts anytime and anywhere. This is completely opposite to the neighbors in "The Strange Tenant". Her husband also likes to be with this couple very much. But Rosemary was grumpy about it, and behind the enthusiasm was an unfathomable motive. The girl who lived in the old couple's house whom she met in the laundry room fell to her death. The pendant given to Rosemary by the old lady is the same as the girl who fell from the building. The mysterious evil plan is looming in the coincidences and details. The first half of the film focuses on Rosemary and her actor husband's integration and adaptation to the new environment. As the plot develops, the second half of the film progresses to the husband's request for a child, the nightmare of being raped by a monster, pregnancy, and the death of a friend who sent her about witchcraft. Books on art, the bottleneck and anxiety of her husband's career, the competitor who suddenly lost her sight, everyone is starting to become more and more abnormal, more and more deviated from the original track, everyone will harm her, everyone is the same. Man, all your help is in vain. Finally, under the watchful eyes of a group of cult members, Rosemary lifted the curtain to look at the devil baby born in the cradle, and she was forced into a predicament like Polanski in "The Tenant". But when she saw the eyes of the baby devil, she put down the bayonet of resistance, and eventually became a tool to nurse the child for the devil. The husband uses his wife's womb as a bargaining chip to make a deal with the devil in exchange for success in his career. The closest person becomes the most cold-blooded and selfish traitor. She is affected by the surrounding environment and domesticated by the isolated and helpless situation, Polanski in "The Strange Tenant" In the end, she obeyed the will of the crowd and fell into the abyss, shattering her bones. Rosemary also obeyed the will of the crowd, nourishing the new life of evil.
