Darren gave himself the problem of not having a soundtrack in the whole film, but he could still make the film feel more substituting. Very not easy.
It is very difficult to watch the movie, and the implantation of metaphors on each layer is relatively strict.
It ranges from female ego, marital crisis, creative anxiety, to immigration issues, ethnic conflicts, religiousism, etc.
Publishers want to kill the inspiration of writers, this stalk is really a bright spot.
I should add that everyone should not ignore Darren's self-interpretation of Mother Earth's point of view that the trouble and even the torture of the hostess caused by the uninvited guests in their house is a metaphor for environmental damage. I didn't say it, Darren said it himself. This is his ambition.
I personally like it, whether it is the psychological state of being ridiculed by the director or the sense of accomplishment after reading the metaphor.
Finally, let me tell you why I gave it four stars. But the one star is because of the soundtrack.
I personally don't like the fact that the movie doesn't have a soundtrack. Really struck me. It's the ending song...it is. . "The end of the world"
Chinese people generally call this song "There will be no end in the future"?
Although the intention is not inconsistent, but it is really too careless...
