All utopian films are inherently anti-Utopian. Romanticism, faced with the onslaught of realism, was pulled to pieces, even if it never ceased to struggle. Fortunately, in Captain Fantastic, realism did not win 100%.
The individual contradictions in the family-style utopian world are more prominent. The father's "turning the tide" in the movie is just a moment of peace in exchange for making peace with reality. But even so, it was comforting enough.
No utopian world can last forever,
but still, welcome to Utopia.
