love&faith

Very traditional plot, a girl who is pure and perfect,
moved by her heart, changed a boy who is not bad in nature, but is a mess all day long.
Then, fall in love and get married.
Just a few months, just one summer.
Their love seems to be fast forward, condensing the love of others for decades,
but it is still not sweet and greasy, just a touch of love and sentimentality.

Their love
is so special because of her leaving.
She had blood cancer, that cruel Leukemia.
Because of it, she tried her heart to stop, she tried to love God more and her faith more.
But it still can't stop the arrival of love.

Although this film has an old-fashioned plot, I guessed the ending without much thinking,
but, as the old saying goes,
I guessed the ending, but not the process.
Their love, like a fairy tale, moved me to the core.

Jamie is a devout believer,
she believes that everyone is good and beautiful, and
believes in the mercy of God.
She has a sweet and thin voice,
big eyes like a frightened deer, and
when she smiles, her eyes shine like a little bit of starlight.
She always smiled incomparably calm, the corners of her mouth fluttering, as if all happiness was under her control.

Landon, not a bad boy, but definitely not a good boy.
He has a broken family,
so he finds reasons for himself to hate God and the world, or
at least he thinks he does.
However, he met her, who was wearing the same old-fashioned sweater forever, who was
always holding the Bible in her hand, and she who had no distractions,
When she sang, her whole body was shining,
and then, everything changed.

Jamie: You have to promise you won't fall in love with me.
Landon: That's not a problem. In

the beginning, they made a promise,
but love doesn't care so much, it goes its own way and eats away at them.

They looked at the stars together,
looked at the star called Jamie;
they embraced and danced,
though he was too clumsy to do anything;
he wrote down her every little wish and
drove to the state border, and
he let her, fulfilled her Be The wish of in two places at once;
under the starry sky, he tattooed the first tattoo for her;

since then, the lover has
become green, at a loss, and gentle, and he gradually understands how to cherish it.
"It's different with her."
So, he said to his mother, like an oath, that he would never be the same again, that he really loved her.

Since then, the
good girl has become stubborn and strong,
"your acting with that boy like you were..."
"in love?"
"dad, look at me. I'm not a child anymore."
So she said to her father , it was love that made her firm.

When she told him that her 18-year-old self had reached the end of her life,
he seemed to be crazy,
Driving at the highest speed, he knocked on his father's door and
asked him, a cardiologist, to save her from blood cancer.
It was completely wrong, but he seemed to have lost his mind and
vented.

For her, he kept making binoculars every day, and
only hoped that she could see the beautiful star in time;
for her, he learned to dance from his mother, and
only hoped that she would dance happily and gracefully in his arms;

he was for her , to bear the pain and responsibility that he could not bear when he was still a child:
when he learned that his father had paid all the medical expenses for her,
he knocked on the door again,
hugged his father,
unable to restrain himself. Sobbing, like a child,
hugging his father, grabbing his clothes, trying to gain courage and strength,
which he has never asked for from his father for so many years...
He has endured too much, it is the first time he has Falling in love with a girl, but can't catch her,
she will drip from his hand like water.
He loves her, he can't cry in front of her, he can't show her his grief, his pain,
he's endured it too long, his tears, like love, are too full to hold, so he has to
pour them out...

So,
Landon : Do you love me?
[she nods]
Landon: Will you do something for me, then?
Jamie: [smiles] Anything.
Landon: Will you marry me?

How many people have spent their whole lives saying this,
He blurted out early, at the age of 18.
It's not that he's immature,
or that he still doesn't know how to be responsible.
It's just that
he knows that he loves her, that
she is worthy of his words, and
worthy of his care for a lifetime.
Although the time to fulfill these words is only a short summer,
it is a lifetime for him and her.

Love, what is it...
they already know it, keep it in mind:

Love is always patient and kind.
It is never jealous.
love is never boastful nor conceited.
It is never rude or selfish.
It does not take offense and is not resentful.
Love takes no pleasure in other peopl's sins...
but delights in the truth.
It is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope...
and to endure, whatever comes.

He is her angel,
let her witness She experienced miracles, witnessed love, and
moved the God she loved.

She is also his angel.
Without her, how could he learn to climb up from the bottom and chase hope?
Without her, perhaps the glory of his life was just that little pride in high school.
Without her, how could he learn true love,
without her, there would be no angel like him.

A Walk to Remember quotes

  • Reverend Sullivan: "Do not be deceived. God is not mocked." Hmmm.

[Landon walks into the Church as Reverend Sullivan is practicing his sermon]

Reverend Sullivan: "Whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap..." Can I help you?

Landon: Uh, yes, sir. I'd like to ask your daughter to dinner on Saturday night.

    Reverend Sullivan: That's not possible.

Landon: Well... with all due respect, sir, I ask you to reconsider.

Reverend Sullivan: With all due respect, Mr. Carter, I made my decision. You can, uh, exit the way you entered.

Landon: Listen, I'm sorry I haven't treated Jamie the way I should've. She deserves more than that. I'm just asking you for the same thing that you teach us every day in Church. And that's faith.

    Reverend Sullivan: [Exhales deeply]

  • Landon: That is one scary

[turns around and sees Jamie's father]

    Landon: Jesus!

    Reverend Sullivan: No, Jamie's father.
