Director, did you take the wrong script for "The Shell"?

Just finished watching Ghost in the Shell released today. I'm curious how the director made a girl who weighs more than 90 pounds feel 140 pounds. Scarlett doesn't have the beauty of an oriental person when she plays Suzi.
In fact, the live-action version and the animated version tell two completely different stories, borrowing elements from the original version, but it is a pity that the carcass of the original version was replaced by one-piece long johns. I endured it without cutting it (because China also invested in this film), and the philosophical thinking of the self and existence was completely erased, and replaced with a story about the inexplicable persecution of street hooligans by the American-style big corporate trust. Fortunately, the structure of the story is complete and easier to understand. The speed of the overall movie is as tepid as "Super Body", with only small climaxes and no big climaxes (probably because I am used to seeing the Women's Federation and Transformers and don't demolish a few buildings. The building is not a fight movie).
The director realized that his level was limited, so he gave us a low-profile version. Another side effect is that many elements of the original version have become unrealistic slots here.
Of course, I watched it in a small fifth-tier city, and there is no IMAX version, so for the sake of immersion, I can only watch this movie in the first row. If I haven't seen the original, I can give it a 4.5. I have seen the original. If you look at it again, you may be scolded for selling dog meat with a direct negative score.
I still remember that the last movie I had been waiting for for half a year was "The Great Wall". After watching it, I scolded my mother and walked out. At this time, a young couple beside me asked, 'How do you think this movie? 'Female:' I think it's pretty.' Male:' Well, I think it's pretty good too. 'I was shocked to hear it next to me at the time, and I was absolutely shocked by these two. Numerous bad movies over the years have destroyed everyone's aesthetics.
The next time I go to the cinema is to see a mindless wave like "Transformers 5". Since then, I can only get the only remaining pleasure of watching movies from the demolition of the house.

Yesterday and the day before yesterday revisited Ghost in the Shell 95, beautiful movies, beautiful moments. Although the characters in the cartoon are two-dimensional, they give people real feelings (especially the garbage truck driver). The live-action characters are like paper people (except Takeshi Kitano). Just like a Japanese haiku, translated into an easy-to-understand vernacular, without poetry and philosophy. Of course, as a commercial film, it barely passes, and if you haven't seen the previous work, you can give it three points.

"We are obsessed with memory and feel that it defines us. But what defines us is our behavior..." I haven't seen the original version. This live-action version has a sense of ritual. The soundtrack, worldview, and setting are all enlarged. feel. Maybe it's fans' worship of the classics, this one feels more entertaining. Widow sister’s red bloodshot muscle chest is too sexy...

Ghost in the Shell quotes

  • [last lines]

Major: [narrating] My mind is human. My body is manufactured. I'm the first of my kind, but... I won't be the last. We cling to memories as if they define us. But what we do defines us. My ghost survived to remind the next of us... that humanity is our virtue. I know who I am... and what I'm here to do.

Aramaki: [in Japanese] Major. Engage targets... You're authorized.

  • Batou: [Batou just got new eyes] Say something nice.

    Major: You chose those?

    Batou: They're tactical.
