A DREAM, AWAKEN THEN

When I was young, I didn’t know how many times I watched "Jane Eyre". Every time I saw JANE leave Rochester, I felt a kind of heartbreak. For JANE's strength and Rochester's coming soon. Yeah desperate.
I've seen the old version of Jane Eyre, maybe because of the long shooting time, the black and white scenes make the whole film a lot worse. The dialogue is simple, the characters are pale, there is no prosperous castle, no tactful plot, like a stage play, watch The actors performed exaggerated performances. But being able to find the shadow of the original from the movie itself is also one of the pleasures of watching Jane Eyre.
A few days ago, I saw everyone's new Jane Eyre, and I couldn't help but look forward to it. This is a modern adaptation of Jane Eyre. Compared with the old version, I think there will be more modern atmosphere, luxurious scenes, and tortuous plots for a while.
However, the process of watching the film made me a little disappointed.
1. When she was a child, Jane only showed resistance, but she was not sensible. Her eyes wide open made people a little scared. Jane in the school didn't leave any impression on me. As an adult, Jane only showed strength, but no aura. The dull expression is boring.
2. Mr. Rochester does not see any sternness, so he can't bring out his affectionateness. If there is no contrast, it will make the plot less magnificent.
3. The plot of the whole play, like a glass of warm water, slowly progressed to the end. Many aristocratic parties are not prosperous and wealthy, nor ambiguous and jealous. There are only a few shots, and there are too few things that can be expressed.
4. The love between Jane Eyre and Mr. Rochester in the movie came too suddenly. If it were separated from the original and just watched the movie, it would be hard to believe that it was only through an unexpected meeting and a conversation after dinner. , Can a support in a fire cultivate a love that will never leave? It was more like a heartbeat of a wealthy businessman.
5. There is no ups and downs in the actor's dialogue and way of speaking. The intense scenes also show gentlemen and ladies, and they cannot resonate.
Of course, there is no shortage of surprises in the process of watching the film.
I like its ending the most. It’s simple and clear, and it seems to be revealing a philosophy, like the spell of Rochester and Jane, "A DREAM AWAKEN THEN".
I wonder if this sentence can be considered that Jane regretted her heart after escaping from Rochester. She felt courageous to face her own heart, courage to face her love, and to understand all this, it was like waking up from a dream.
