Be realistic, boy~

It's a very nice cartoon, full of imagination, it is said to be a 3D version, it must feel good to watch the big screen immersive in the cinema, but it's a pity to watch it on the computer. The story tells the story of a little girl, Carolina, who followed her parents who wrote a book on plant research to an old castle-like building. Her parents were busy with work and ignored her. She found a small door when she was wandering in the house. Another world, with a mom who cooks and a dad who plays with her, and where the weird neighbors in the real world are as nice as they'd like to be. Another world's mother wants carolina to stay at the cost of having her eyes buttoned up... The real world is bad, there are always imperfections in one way or another, and ideals are not always realized. Many people may wish to have another world, where everything is fine and perfect, but there is no such thing as perfection. If you want it, you must pay a corresponding price. Let's be honest with real life, it may not be so perfect, but it can be beautiful.

Coraline quotes

  • Other Father: [robotic] All will be swell, soon as Mother's refreshed. Her strength is our strength...

[one of the robotic hands closes his mouth forcefully]

Other Father: Mustn't... talk when Mother's not here.

Coraline Jones: If you won't even talk to me, I'm gonna find the other Wybie. He'll help me.

    Other Father: No point.

    [face distorts]

Other Father: He pulled a loooong face... and Mother didn't like it.

  • Coraline Jones: [on the "Other" Mother] Why does she want me?

Cat: She wants something to love, I think. Something that isn't her. Or, maybe she'd just love something to eat.

Coraline Jones: Eat? That's ridiculous, mothers don't eat... daughters.

Cat: I don't know. How do you taste?

    [chuckles]
