Actually I meant to say. I think compared to Coraline, the image of ghost mother left a deeper impression on me. . At the beginning, the mechanical and cold hands sew the doll with tenderness. She loves Coraline so much, she wants to get Coraline from the bottom of her heart, what is the ghost mother doing? Isn't it selfless.

I think the true version of this sentence is actually - Even the proudest spirit can be broken, WITHOUT love.
So when Coraline refused to admit the ghost mother's love, she got very angry and locked Coraline in the little dark room and said, You may come out when you've learnt to be a loving daughter.
Ghost mothers have no ability to love. She's bored, empty, and even miserable, so she needs Coraline and the other kids as a vehicle for her to show love. Therefore, for her, the greatest disobedience is to deny her love.
