Once you enter the underworld, it is as deep as the sea

After his commutation and his release from prison, the former drug lord Kalido decided to make a new life. He partnered with a man to run a nightclub. If he wanted to earn enough $100,000, he would fly away. The appearance of his ex-girlfriend made him more determined to start a new life. The lawyer who helped him commute his sentence successfully asked him to help him participate in a crime, and he decided to participate in order to pay back his favor. Backfired, he angered the mafia boss because of his involvement in this incident and fell into the predicament of being hunted down. After getting rid of the Mafia, he and his girlfriend were about to board the departing train, but at the last moment they died at the hands of a gangster who had been cleaned up by him because of the betrayal of the bodyguard.
Because of repaying the debt of favor, he forged a new enemy. As he said, "favor kills faster than bullets".
He was betrayed by bodyguards because of his credulity, as he said, "You believe everyone, even though you know some people are lying, or they are all lying. When you can't tell the difference, you're in trouble."
Because not enough Fierce, he did not kill the gangster after cleaning up, laying the groundwork for his own tragedy. As he said, "going to prison is not to be probation, but to kill your spirit."
A gangster determined to change over and start over is bound to be blocked by the boundless frontier between black and white. Despite the time it took to cross the barrier, Calidor fell just before dawn.

Carlito's Way quotes

  • David Kleinfeld: Fuck you and your self-righteous code of the goddamn streets. Did it pull you out of a 30 year stint in only 5 years? No, it didn't, I did. Did it get you acquitted 4 fucking times? No, it didn't, I did, so fuck you, fuck the streets, your whole goddamn world is this big, and there's only one rule, you save your own ass.

  • Carlito: If I ever, I mean if I ever see you here again, you die.

    [Snaps fingers]

    Carlito: Just like that.
