Unique style

At the beginning, I stated that the reason for the three-star rating is that I am really not interested in Western fantasy materials including vampires. But the movie itself is the least scary horror movie I've ever seen, and it deserves a higher score.

The soundtrack of "No One's Entry" always evokes a gentle and subtle sadness. (Recommended tracks: "Eli's Theme"; "Let The Right One In"; "Then We Are Together") Although the ending of the movie is a (superficial) HE, the decision to abandon everything and swallow the pain of loneliness is too much after all Too romantic and too idealistic. And loneliness, with the chill and gloom unique to Northern Europe. It's like the movie itself, which is not a silent movie, but is extraordinarily quiet. Even its climax is the same. Ellie rushes in and saves Oscar from the bad guys, and when he regains consciousness and sticks his head out of the water, he sees his departed lover. There is no dialogue or soundtrack to this performance. Surrounded by blood and severed limbs, the lovers stared at each other smiling. Extremely tender and morbid.

After thinking about it, the ending of this one is actually a bit similar to "Battle Royale", which I also quite like. It is also the two people who are desperate to fly away. Sure enough, the types I like are similar, loneliness and romance are idealized. Walk through the blue shadows of winter sun-lit snowfields and birch forests. Where can they go. Obviously destined to be a tragic ending, but still choose to embrace it. Really like.

Let the Right One In quotes

  • Oskar: How old are you?

    Eli: Twelve... more or less.

    Eli: What about you?

Oskar: Twelve years, eight months and nine days. What do you mean, "more or less"?

    Oskar: When's your birthday?

    Eli: I don't know.

Oskar: Don't you celebrate your birthday? Your parents... they've got to know.

Eli: [Eli looks down on the ground]

Oskar: Then you don't get any birthday presents, do you?

    Eli: No.

  • Eli: [standing outside the door] You have to invite me in.

Oskar: What happens if I don't? What happens if you walk in anyway?

[feels the air between himself and Eli]

Oskar: Is there something in the way?
