I must be gone and live, or stay and die——Romeo was sentenced to exile, and he would be sentenced to death as long as he returned to the country. After spending the last night with his lover, he said this. All of Eli's love and contradictions were integrated into this sentence. She felt guilty for the death of the old man. She was afraid of affecting Osker. She knew that she would be exiled by human society forever, but she finally came back. Speculation about her "intentions" in approaching Osker really doesn't matter.
