Do you know what Hadrian said about Rome?

Because of the need for data from the Great Depression era, due to an accident, I saw the movie "The Pentium Era" depicting that era in that data.
This is a purely inspirational movie that does not focus on the misery of the American people during the Great Depression.
But at least we saw from those real black-and-white historical photos, a desperate middle-aged man sitting on his knees, in a corner of Wall Street, saw a small car sold for $100, and saw Rhett’s father staring at it. The time and space of the beating flames' eyes completely lost the vitality that he had when he was reciting Emily's poems. He saw the last tearful embrace of Rhett and his father when he said "Don't be like this".
Although the three-line alternate narrative in the first few dozen minutes was dizzy, it also fully and well explained the story of the three protagonists.
Together with Sea Biscuit, they defeated each opponent one by one. Finally defeated the horse race named "God of War".
In the 1938 game, when the bell was rang, the picture was changed to a few decades ago. People throughout the country listened to photos of the game, and there was a brief silence accompanied by the movie.
People stand in front of the car broadcast, or the family gathers in front of the radio, or the staff put down their work and just listen to the game.
That was exactly the same as the silence at the end of the film when Rhett rode a sea cracker to lead all opponents. At that time, no sound was needed to express what we saw.

"Do you know what Hadrian said about Rome?" The
whole film is an interpretation of the spirit of the United States. Earlier, when the west was not yet developed, countless people went to the west with their entire family, and countless people died halfway.
I have seen a story. A certain place in the vast western part of the United States is deserted and windy. There are only two families. The boy from one family said to the girl from the other family, marry me. The girl said yes, because except here, only you and I can marry. What I want to say is the desolation of that place. A few decades later, the same place developed into a flowery town, and the boy of that year became the mayor. They used their own hands to build their homes in places that seemed hopeless.

Now, why should we stop for the frustration that is not enough.
All of us may have different starting points, but we will also have different processes.

"Do you know what Hadrian said about Rome? Step by step, my people, step by step."

2012.7.6. Archives, because I didn't get a ticket for "City of Sadness", the film was a little unfocused from the beginning, and even felt that the explanation of the background of the characters in the first half was too wordy, the Hollywood ending

This is a strange thing, but the movie failed to surpass the historical facts this time. It's a little broken.

Seabiscuit quotes

  • Charles Howard: You could be crippled for the rest of your life.

Red Pollard: I *was* crippled for the rest of my life. I got better. He made me better. Hell, you made me better.

  • George Woolf: Pretty small, ain't he?

Red Pollard: He's gonna look a lot smaller in a second, Georgie.
