It turned out that "Hold Call" came from here

After seeing it, I realized that the "Hold Call" starring Gu Tianle and Xu Xiyuan was originally a remake of this movie. The plot is exactly the same, it's really not creative at all.

Let's compare the characters. The Hong Kong version of Louis Koo is a wimp, and the US version of Chris Evans is a conceited idler, and both of them are basically qualified. The main gap lies in the heroine. Although Kim Basinger is old, his glamorous temperament is still the same. The whole temperament is in line with the character's wit in the film; Xu Xiyuan is basically a mentally retarded who can only scream, and his acting skills are so bad. It's outrageous, so the Hong Kong version is the one that breaks down and plays the most. The badass Boss, the American version of Jason Statham, is absolutely solid, this kind of character is easy to use; and the Hong Kong version of the ridiculously shaped Liu Ye feels that it is not only yin and yang, but also a little bit strange.

In other details, due to cultural reasons, I think the Hong Kong version of the comedy plot is more successful than the US version. For example, the girly of the Hong Kong version of the mobile phone shop is better than the indifferent clerk of the US version, and the various passersby encountered by the Hong Kong version are also stronger than the US version.

But in general, the US version is a qualified action movie, unable to scrutinize the plot and praise the performance.
