From clown to master

Many people play comedies and clowns, but there are not many artists who can be called masters.

It has been decades since Chaplin passed away, and now the film and television dramas are more refined and technically better, but they are more and more hollow.

Which comedies can surpass the Chaplin era in terms of art and ideas, it seems that there are none.

There are many singers who sing and dance, but not many can be called artists like Jackson.

Why?

One day I understood that Chaplin's speech at the end of the film seemed abrupt and impossible, but it was his hope for the world and his call for peace. Just like Jackson's heal the world, We Are The World, they are their voices for love, life, equality, peace, and the universal family.

Their aspirations still seem extravagant, many politicians are running in the opposite direction, and the world seems to be more and more chaotic and divided.

At the beginning of World War II in 1940, Chaplin made this movie that ridiculed the Nazis and Hitler's ambitions. Such vision, thought, and courage have already surpassed that of an actor, screenwriter, and director.

When I watched this film this time, I noticed that although it was a film from 80 years ago, the footage was so perfect that there was no discomfort at all. Some of the current film stories can't be told clearly, the camera lens is shaky, and I don't know how these filmmakers learn it.
