Military movies based on facts during the Cold War were mostly based on this routine. Because the United States and the Soviet Union did not fight directly at the time in history, the ending is certain when watching this kind of film. At the beginning, the arms race must be in full swing and a nuclear war is about to start. Both sides are waiting for an appropriate time, and then give themselves a reasonable excuse to go to war under the guise of justice. But both sides tried their best to refrain from giving each other such excuses. Someone must have sacrificed for this in the process.
