Adhering to the spirit that everything can be entertained and everything can be ridiculed, Hollywood took the tobacco industry to talk about it this time, and by the way, made a mockery of its own business. But sometimes the spoof goes too far, people can't see the truth, the good and the beautiful, and all they see is a dog bites a dog, so I can't like the film or the characters, let alone moved. If the theme is changed and packaged as a struggle between personal conscience and powerful forces (such as "Good Morning Vietnam"), the film may be able to reach a higher level. But maybe I'm asking too much, after all, it's just an entertainment movie, dark humor.
The film's story structure is rather vulgar, but the dialogue is good, at least the speech about the smoking scene in the classic movie:
Cary Grant, Carole Lombard are lighting up. Bette Davis a chimney. And Lauren Bacall (in her first movie )... she says "anyone got a match?" and Bogar throws the matches at her... Greatest romance of the century...
