I thought it was a secret agent film with a happy vengeance, blood and treacherous like the name of the prototype event of this movie "God's Wrath". Spielberg is still extraordinary, not out of the norm, and his thoughts on war and human nature have elevated the theme of the film.
There are two sentences that appear quite frequently in the film.
One, when is the time for retribution? I believe that the audience was deeply impressed by the scene of the encounter in the safe house. After the Mossad agents concealed their identity and lifted the crisis, the PLO youth and the male protagonist said in the corridor that going home was everything and his desire for the establishment of a Palestinian state, even knowing that it might take a hundred years or more of sacrifice. Praise that actor with utter desire in his eyes, firmness, fearlessness. But they are enemies after all. The two sides met during the mission. The youth of the PLO was killed by a few shots from the male lead teammate and fell down, giving his life for his dream of building a country. It was also from here that the male protagonist began to think about this mission, and now he no longer had the joy after the success of the first mission. Until the three teammates sacrificed one after another, they changed from hunters to prey, from bombers to people hiding in wardrobes to hide bombs, the blood and killing of this mission had overwhelmed him. Later in the film, the male protagonist reunites with his wife and children after his mission, but suffers so much that he is on the verge of collapse. While having sex with his wife, he was interspersed with the massacre of Israeli athletes by Black September. I wonder if the audience paid attention to it. The terrorists only killed when they were cornered and counterattacked. There was both madness and fear in their eyes. To punish terror with terror, a group of people will fall, and the crazier one will take over, and both sides are killing people for "homeland", so I can't help but think of the plot in "Borderlands", both sides insist that they are the righteous side, and ultimately both sides lose. .
Second, owning a home comes at a price. This is also the consensus of both parties. The male protagonist died for the sake of Jews and Israel, but after the mission was over, he was worried about the safety of his family. Has he really done what people are proud of?
Spielberg is an American Jew, and he has also made a history of Jewish suffering such as "Schindler's List". Now he has this film full of thinking about the conflict of Jewish interests and Arab interests, but he just thinks that this is not a good idea. There are no suggestions, and it is impossible to make suggestions. If there is a solution, the world should be very different!
