There is no time for retribution for grievances, and it is definitely not violence that can completely solve the problem. All the five people in the team led by Avner were not killers. They were professors, toymakers, and bodyguards...they were not killers. In more than four hours of narration, we witness their belief that revenge can bring respect and peace, just as the Munich gangsters believed that hijacking athletes could bring them independence. Until they left one by one in the assassination... when Avner was also on someone else's hunt list. He seemed to understand what revenge had brought.
