"Perfect" standard, non-standard cult.

"Plot compact"? Might as well watch Mulholland Drive.
"A test of human nature?" Try comparing "The Mist".
"Sophisticated design"? "Fermat's Room" is better than that.
"Full of cult?" "A Clockwork Orange" can be described as the pinnacle.
Not to mention horror, suspense, sci-fi.

However, I still like this movie very much, very few movies can create just the right atmosphere in a dull and repetitive scene - the rhythm is not fast and unsatisfactory, not loose or tight; there is moderate tension, and sufficient think. It neither innovates for innovation's sake, nor dissects for dissection's sake. This is the ability and idea that works after the 21st century are slowly disappearing. The human nature of everyone in the movie is real, and everyone has flesh and blood and personality. The screenwriter and director gave us a set of constant molds, and then changed the surrounding scenes to combine infinite possibilities. The combination of the known and the unknown makes the plot of the film really eager to watch, and the actors' excellent performances do not make the audience see the drama.

The end of the film is a perfect "unexpected, reasonable". That is to say, its logic is perfect. When we see an absurd result, we should not evaluate how absurd its conclusion looks, but should understand whether the logical derivation of each step is reasonable.

All in all, this is a must-see classic. Maybe it's only worth four stars for a single review of the film's ability; but if I were to recommend it, "The Frustration Fang" is a highly recommended file.

Cube quotes

  • Leaven: [to Worth and Holloway] Well... Duh! Have you been on glue all your lives? I felt guilty for ruining the world since I was like seven! God, if you need someone to blame throw a rock!

  • Quentin: Why don't you tell us what your purpose is, Worth?

Worth: Often wondered that myself. I'm just a guy, I work in an office building doing office building stuff. I wasn't exactly bursting with joie de vivre before I got here, life just sucks in general.

Holloway: Oh I can't stand that attitude.

    Leaven: 'Cos he's right.
