Robocop - Tomorrow Panic

The movie of 2014 seems to be outdated today. In this way, people's expectations and fears for the future and robots have always been the same and have never changed.

Robots have been fascinated by humans since they had this concept. Various books and movies emerge in an endless stream. Asimov's Three Laws of Robotics seems to be perfect, but he also puts forward many loopholes in his short stories. On the one hand, people yearn for the large-scale application of robots to bring humans a higher level of quality of life; on the other hand, they strictly guard against the boundaries between humans and robots. Non-human races will have different hearts. Even robots created by humans are also born. From that moment on, it exists as both the enemy and the servant of mankind.

Robocop's storyline isn't too new, referencing robots to warfare and everyday guards. The film's good focus is to match the political hotspots in the United States today, and the seemingly flawless events feel real and believable, without the slightest feeling that this is a cool, high-tech movie of the future. It is precisely like this that it gives the audience a larger space for thinking: the meaning and value of the existence of Robocops, and whether human beings need Robocops to protect their own safety.

On the one hand, this film makes people think about the existence of robots, and on the other hand, it is also a reflection on the current political system in the United States. Businesses can manipulate public opinion, which in turn affects the mayor and the Senate through votes. Numerous factors terrifyingly point to the fact that as long as you have a deep understanding of this political system, the ability of an individual can override the entire society. Then if there is a criminal genius who packs criminal thoughts into a perfect plan and obtains the will of the whole people, wouldn't the whole world be in danger.

The rhythm of the film itself is tense, the actors are eye-catching, and the shootout scene is not too eye-catching. It is a relatively good popcorn movie.

(In Crater Lake) The focus of the movie is unclear. About machine and human nature, the hegemony of big companies, and the United States itself, everything is said a little bit, but everything is not the point, and how can such a heavy machine power supply last so long? It's buggy all over the place to run in a normal car (I just can't ignore this). The hero's lungs and brain are refreshing, and that's it

This kind of plot itself determines that there is not much room for innovation. Only the so-called "safety" concept promoted by Samuel Jackson is tried to arouse thinking, and then the family card is played. Basically, there are no internal and direct conflicts. It's too intense, and the special effects, an important component of sci-fi action films, basically belong to the rhythm of game masters playing computer people, and the strength comparison is completely unbalanced.

Pat Novak: Now I know some of you may think that this kind of thinking is dangerous and these machines violate your civil liberties. Some of you even believe that the use of these drones overseas makes us the same kind of bullying imperialists that our forefathers were trying to escape. To you, I say... stop whining! America is now and always will be the greatest country on the face of the Earth! I'm Pat Novak. Good night.
