"You shall love one another as I have loved you, and this is my commandment. There is no greater love than this which lay down your life for your friends. If you do what I command you, you are my friends. I will no longer call you friends. You are servants, because servants do not know what their masters do; but I call you friends, because I have told you what I have seen from my Father." John 15:
12-15 Going back to the day Jesus was crucified, looking at him dying on the cross, what does it feel like? Heartbroken, full of hope, or stronger. Jesus' actions cannot be said to be resolute or stubborn, and the judgments of these actions cannot be fathomed into his heart. On the eve of his arrest, he overcame the last weakness with complete obedience in his heart, because he truly understood that God's will was to save all sinners. The most glorious expression of God's will is to lay down the life of his most beloved Son, to proclaim God's unselfish love, and in this way to show salvation to all. The victory of this salvation is that Jesus not only had to die, but also resurrected, proving that the Son of God not only has the right to lay down his life, but also has the power to overcome the power of Satan—death. And the person who experienced all of this—Jesus—is the only sinless person in this world. To subject an innocent person to the cruelest criminal law in the world is the greatest shame in human history, let alone that he is the Son of God.
In the space we are in, we cannot discern what is happening in a higher-level space. We are accustomed to using the thinking of the same space to judge and evaluate the world, and then ignore the larger reality. But the secret place that we can't see is indeed another kind of battle going on all the time. This kind of war directly affects everything in our three-dimensional space, and we, who are not aware of it, have repeatedly overestimated our actions and struggled in sin and illusion. While carrying out self-destruction, meet this other suffering - the final judgment with a higher arrogance. Just like the original Tower of Babel, it looks very hopeful, but I don’t know if it is stiff neck to prove its pride, adding bricks and tiles to the self-digging tombstone. Little do they know that they fell into Satan's trap and became a funeral object.
The first sin in human history came from doubting God's command: God warned Adam and Eve not to eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and in the day they eat it, they will surely die. Eve was tempted by Satan, which ultimately led to the beginning of all human tragedy. It's not that God doesn't love people, but if it's not out of love, where would human beings come from? (Warning to the skepticism and ridicule of evolutionists or unbelievers: you have to think about your last days) Freedom is the best proof in the highest expression of human love. God did not give us freedom to be like obedience machines. If there is no comparison between good and bad, good and evil, freedom is of no value. Under the temptation of Satan's sin, it is difficult for human beings to restrain themselves. From the initial judgment of God's words to today, Satan's sin has become more and more life-like, making us more and more far away from God, so we have rebelled against God to this day. The opposition between God and Satan also led to the final destination of mankind: heaven and land, which are still the choice of mankind.
God brought Jesus into the world, and God took the form of a man. Jesus was born in the humblest way, lived in the most ordinary manner, taught in the most humble way, and tolerant sinners with the broadest mind. His whole job is to demonstrate the love and greatness of God and to call upon the Lambs who have been lost - even if he was born knowing to die in the cruelest way, even if he was the Son of the Creator.
Jesus showed those who rejected him the essence of love: sacrifice, tolerance, mercy, kindness. Likewise, Jesus showed those who were determined to repent what faith means: obedience, humility, patience, hope. The disciples who hurriedly fled on Good Friday finally saw the resurrected Jesus and returned to Jesus one by one, believing that he was indeed the Savior of the world. Their weakness in the past became their strength in the future, and no one escaped. Although everyone suffered countless persecutions when they were alive, and suffered hardships when they died, they achieved the gospel two thousand years later and spread all over the world.
When Jesus was alive, he told his disciples what the last days would look like, and now it seems to have been fulfilled. Those who have done it thank Jesus, but also often remember his command: Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, and baptize them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Teach them to obey everything I command you, and I am with you always, even to the end of the age. (Matthew 28:19-20) If our hope today is only in gratitude, then we have only received half the grace. Self-salvation is important, but there are many more people outside of hope. It is only good that grace be showered upon all, and that it abides in hope.
Jesus is my hope in life. At first, I thought the person who said this to me was alarmist, but after experiencing it, I really believe that this is not false at all. I've heard many stories of life turning around, and when it happened to me in a miraculous way, I couldn't help but be grateful. I just want life to be better and better, and the way of the Lord to go wider and wider. Connecting your life to Jesus is truly the greatest grace of sinners.
