Aftermath of the Passion of Jesus

When I finally finished watching this movie, I was shocked and moved. Although we have read many times about the process of Jesus' holy death in the Bible, the feeling presented in the form of movies is still very, very shocking.

Whether it is the Virgin Mary or those who have been saying that they want to put Jesus to death, they are all moved by the last holy death of Jesus, and their faith also died with Jesus' crucifixion and is rooted in everyone's heart. The torture, whipping, insults and curses he suffered were all to redeem our universal sins, but he never refuted explanations, just patiently endured.

That for me requires patience and love, just like Jesus did before his death. Jesus was able to forgive those who tortured, flogged, and eventually killed him. And compared with Jesus, the difficulties we encounter and the situation we are in are really different. To forgive is to deliver Jesus from the cross, and to sin is to crucify Jesus again.

Hopefully, we can love each other, whether it's brothers in the church or people in the world. Thank you Lord, amen!

Christ became man and we became murderers. It has an impact on us, religious or not.

The Passion of the Christ quotes

  • Jesus: You are my friends. And there is no greater love than for a man to lay down his life for his friends.

  • [to the guards beating Jesus on his way to Golgotha]

Simon: Stop! Stop! Leave him alone! If you don't stop, I won't carry that cross one more step. I don't care what you do to me!
