Maybe only Tom Clancy’s book fans are happy

Tom Clancy's books are not many, but only "Rainbow Six", "Patriot Game" and "Burning Eyebrow Chase" are the only ones to count. Speaking of it, I started to get in touch with his book through playing his games.
The most important feature of his book is that it has a lot of foreshadowing, and the climax is protruding. It can be said that the first 80% of his books are foreshadowing. This is also one of his shortcomings. I only read many of the works at the beginning and I was completely confused by the complicated relationship between the characters. But once you figure out the character setting of the numerous characters, you will immediately be caught by the tense story progress, and you can only enjoy it after reading it. I haven't read the original book, but it is completely Tom Clancy's style in grasping the rhythm and atmosphere, and it can give 80 points for the film adaptation of the book. Maybe his book is not suitable for adaptation into action movies that everyone loves to see. Looking forward to "Splitting Cell" being made into a movie as soon as possible

Looking at Tom Clancy, it wasn't exciting, but it wasn't too bad.

The Sum of All Fears quotes

  • Mary Pat Foley: [after President Zorkin dies] He died at 0420 Zulu. Eight and a half hours later, they swore in a new president. Everybody wants to know who this new guy is.

    Jack Ryan: Who is he?

    Rudy: Alexander Nemerov.

Jack Ryan: You're kidding me. I wrote a paper about him a year ago.

    Mary Pat Foley: I know.

Jack Ryan: No, Mary Pat, I said he could be next. I said he-he could be the next guy. I predicted this.

Mary Pat Foley: I know, I know.

Jack Ryan: And nobody read it.

Rudy: Yeah, well, they're reading it now, buddy.

    Jack Ryan: Who?

    Mary Pat Foley: Cabot.

Jack Ryan: I've been here 14 months. I don't think he knows what I look...

[stopping short as they bump into Cabot]

  • Jack Ryan: So, uh, Intelligence Committe?

    Bill Cabot: Mm-hmm.

Jack Ryan: I've watched these on C-SPAN. Never actually been to one.

Bill Cabot: You've never watched one of these on C-SPAN.
