This film is known as a classic representative work of postmodern film, and it is a pioneer work in exploring TV through film. The director greatly stimulated the audience through MTV-style shooting and editing techniques, the comprehensive use of soap operas and cartoons, and alternative music, interspersed with the technical techniques of MTV and animation, and the extreme color conversion of red and green. This has created two extreme figures deeply influenced by media television - Mickey and Melody. Their crazy and paranoid murder has become a romantic fashion for self-seeking, a hot spot for media coverage, idols worshipped by contemporary teenagers, and crazy reports by hosts eager for quick success. It humorously mocks the American mass media from the side, and satirizes the so-called justice and heroes in modern society. The sins under these hypocrisy, the unconscious crazy desires of human beings, and the absurdity and distortion of the dark side of human nature make us have lingering fears.
