Some netizens recommended this film in a message on my blog before. I happened to see this film when I was looking for a film to watch at home on the weekend, so I clicked on it.
It is undeniable that the beginning of the film is indeed better than 5 minutes. The male protagonist R, as a thinking zombie, was quite interesting when he was bored and wandering in the world of the living dead. However, everything changed from the close-up and slow-motion replay when the heroine threw a bullet. At that moment, a big vulgar smell burst out, and I immediately understood that this is still a vulgar Hollywood film, how can it be so easy I was deceived by the title of the film.
Especially when the zombies saw that the heroine held R's hand in a critical moment, inspiring their suspended lives, they felt that they really made a super stupid choice and wasted an hour and a half.
From here, the film becomes more and more bloody, okay. The zombies began to slowly heal themselves. If the title of the film lies in what the heroine said to R, "You work harder than any human to persist and keep the good side", then I can only say that the level of the screenwriter's story writing is far lower at the level of his thinking.
If there's a bright spot in this film, I think it's the warmth of returning home to the plane and putting on a film record. No matter if you are in a quagmire or not, your heart still yearns for the good.

Warm Bodies quotes

  • R: [voice-over] They call these guys Bonies. They don't bother us much, but they'll eat anything with a heartbeat. I mean, I will too, but at least I'm conflicted about it.

  • R: [voice-over] Don't be creepy. Don't be creepy. Don't be creepy.
