Before I met you, it was probably a story somewhere between 3/4 that I almost forgot. Then when I saw the promotion video, I gradually remembered 1/4 of the plot.
It looks like a sweet and inspirational love movie: a sluggish and disabled prince meets an optimistic and strong Cinderella, and encourages and supports each other along the way, and finally has a happy ending. From then on, they live happily together...
But of course the story not that simple. In this age when people's hearts are so dark, people will roll their eyes and despise if the story ends too well~
So before I met you, there was a very complicated and even extremely test of human nature, and still a controversial proposition of life and death: whether people have The right to end your life of your own choosing?
Don't we often say that everyone is born with human rights and everyone has the right to choose freely? So, do we have the right to choose death?
Especially for a person who is permanently disabled, unable to take care of himself in daily life, and is destined to spend the rest of his life in various drugs, complications, pain, endless mental torment and physical torture, his dignity will be consumed with life; and the situation will continue to deteriorate. For the quadriplegic patients, regardless of legal responsibility, does the euthanasia law violate human rights?
Does seeking euthanasia mean irresponsible life? And does euthanasia mean contempt for life? Does it violate professional ethics, or fulfill the spirit of humanity?
I just feel sad. Born as a human being, life is not independent of oneself, body is not independent of oneself, life and death are not independent of oneself.
And the saddest thing is that because I love you, I am willing to sacrifice the happiness that will grow old with you to fulfill you.
